Traveling days

And so it is that the time we have spent in this devastated country, this beautiful people, this tragic story, is now coming to a, no, not end…. Pause. I will definitely be back. I am touched so deeply by the pain that this country is and will face in time to come. So much worse than I could have imagined. No photo, video, or story can do justice the magnitude of destruction of buildings, moreover, lives.
I will post a lot more photos this week, and some video to show the best I can, the impact this quake had on these beautiful people.

Update From Haiti

Posted: January 21, 2010 at 5:38 pm

We are giving out plates of food and we were told that we were only allowed to give it to mothers and children who were not hurt. All injured people have been fed; and for the past week these were the only ones that have been fed at this hospital because that was all the food they had available. Just now we are starting to be able to give food to other family members but there are still so many without food. How hard is it to say “no” to them because you can’t give food to them. They are crying out for it and wanting it but we have to pass them by to give it to someone else. Things are happening, more food is coming and more materials are coming in a couple of days. They are still formulating a plan to meet the needs of the Haitian people. Please continue to pray for us.

Crossing Over

Posted: January 20, 2010 at 7:17 pm

On the road to the border, packed tight, praying for God’s direction. Already establishing vital connections to help Haiti long term.  The purpose of this team is establishing these vital connections and determining the feasibility of future teams.  Please be in prayer as our team arrives in Haiti.  Continue to pray for divine God appointments.  This is only the beginning of Church of the King becoming a part of the long term process of rebuilding the nation of Haiti.
