Consider joining this new opportunity on our trip to Guatemala.
Mission call for college age.
As we partner with YWAM Guatemala City and multiple other ministries, we work to provide water filters, help the troubled youth, practice friendship evangelism, distribute the Holy Bible, and involve ourselves in a local church plant.
Guatemala City is a region rich with heritage and family values. Unfortunately, these families often suffer from malnutrition because their areas lack drinkable water. Our team raises funds to take water treatment systems to help provide clean water to as many households as possible. Each system costs around $25. Not only do we provide households with easy-to-use, durable water filters, but we also get to minister to the individuals in the home, work alongside a children’s ministry, and minister to gang-ridden communities.
Where is it at? La Vernadad is a neighborhood within Guatemala City highly known for its gang violence. Within the neighborhood are streets and each street represents a different gang. These streets are less than 200 yards apart leading to much violence because of the close proximity.
Water Filter Distribution, Minister to the Youth, Freedom Retreat
Trip Size: 15
Join us, as we partner with YWAM Guatemala City and multiple ministries. We will be taking action by providing water filters, helping the troubled youth, practicing friendship evangelism, and distributing the Holy Bible, and involving ourselves in the children’s church.
Guatemala City is a region rich with heritage and family values. Unfortunately, these families often suffer from malnutrition because of the lack of drinkable water in their area. We will be partnering with YWAM Guatemala City to combat this problem. Not only will we be entering these families' households to bring easy-to-use and durable water filters, but we will also take these opportunities to personally minister to the individuals within the homes.
In the second week, we will be working inside a city called San Miguel Chicaj and from there we will minister to the Rabinal Achi Mayans. Although the individuals within this indigenous tribe have opened their hearts to the Gospel, they suffer because the Bible was only translated into their native language just recently. By entering into these communities with the written Word of God, we will be showing them that God desires to speak directly to them. Not only will this reflect God’s true character to them, but it will effectively equip them with God’s powerful Word.
They are a people often overlooked. Help us enter into these communities and demonstrate that they are not forgotten, not by us and not by God.
